Internship roles at Bellrock Technology

About us

Bellrock Technology is an award-winning software company based in Glasgow. We are the team behind deckchair®, trusted multi-agent AI software built for regulated industry.

Every organisation in the industries we serve faces the same fundamental challenge. They have data spread across dozens of systems. They know that data should be driving better decisions. Their boards are pushing for it. But the path from siloed data to real operational intelligence is where almost everyone gets stuck.

That gap is our space. It is where Bellrock Technology has spent over fifteen years. deckchair closes the gap between the data an organisation has and the intelligence it needs. It lets enterprises build and keep building intelligence across their existing operations, with new capabilities deployed quickly, securely and as often as needed. What used to take months of bespoke project work can now be done in days. A living intelligence system that grows with the organisation.

Today, deckchair is helping some of the biggest names in construction, energy, manufacturing and transport to turn their data into something that actually works for them. As a spin-out from the University of Strathclyde’s Engineering faculty, we have deep roots in the research and rigour behind multi-agent systems. We bring that depth to everything we do.

The opportunities

We are looking for summer interns to join our Product Engineering team. This is the team responsible for delivering real intelligence solutions to our customers across some of the most complex and safety-critical industries in the world.

Our Product Engineers are part technical problem solvers, part customer adoption specialists. They work directly with customers to understand operational challenges, build intelligence capabilities and deploy them through deckchair. They also support onboarding, training and making sure customers get the most value from the platform. It is hands-on, varied and genuinely impactful work.

If you are interested in AI, multi-agent systems and the real difference they can make to how industries operate, we would love to hear from you.

What you will do

  • Build intelligence solutions, analytical models and data science capabilities that are deployed through deckchair to solve real customer problems.

  • Work directly with customers and stakeholders, helping them adopt and get the most from the platform.

  • Contribute to customer onboarding, training and the ongoing support that makes intelligence capabilities stick.

  • Learn and grow within a supportive, tight-knit team that will develop your existing skills and train you in those you might not yet have.

What we are looking for

  • Practical experience with modern software engineering, with Python as a core language. We value candidates who are already using AI-assisted development tools to write and ship code, not just those looking to learn about them.

  • Good problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in solving meaningful, complex challenges for customers.

  • A desire to work well in a small, ambitious and fun-loving team and to provide support wherever it is needed.

  • Comfort working with customers and communicating technical ideas clearly.

For interns

This role is particularly well suited to MEng students between their fourth and fifth year of studies, where the depth of your programme aligns closely with the work we do. We also welcome strong candidates in third year of a BEng or MEng programme. Ideally you will be studying for a CES, EEE, EME or MAE degree, though if you feel you fit the bill then reach out and let’s talk.

We offer full-time paid internships over your summer break, which can be continued into a flexible paid role when you return to your studies. It is also an accelerated route into full-time employment once you graduate.

If you are interested in applying for the Intern role, please provide your CV and cover letter.
