International Students

If you are an international student outside the EEA you must hold a current Tier 4 visa and be able to show that you can work on either a full-time or part-time basis, as required by the placement.

You will need to present your passport and visa at the interview stage. The institution sponsoring your Tier 4 visa must confirm that your visa end date falls within the period of your planned placement.

With a Tier 4 visa you can undertake paid employment for up to a certain number of hours per week (depending on which level of course you are studying on).

We recommend that you find out more about the Tier 4 visa on the UK Border Agency website.

Please contact your University International Office if you have any further queries.
