Administration /Social Media Placement, 3 months, Edinburgh

A role has become available for a three month full time Administraton/PA placement at CodeBase, the UK’s largest technology incubator. We are based in Argyle House, a quarter of a million square foot building in the heart of Edinburgh.  CodeBase is entirely built on private equity and our mission is to build and grow the next great tech companies.

The role will be split between administrative duties, social media, basic bookkeeping and providing PA support to the Managing Director.

PA duties:

• Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing
• Arranging travel, visas and accommodation and, occasionally, travelling with the manager to take notes or dictation at meetings or to provide general assistance during presentations;
• Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate;
• Organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments;
• Dealing with incoming email and post, often corresponding on behalf of the manager;
• Carrying out background research and presenting findings;
• Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations;
• Organising and attending meetings and ensuring the manager is well prepared
• Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff

Administrative duties:

• Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
• Maintaining a presence on multi social media platforms
• Completing VAT returns
• Preparing invoices for the tenants/clients.
• Checking company bank statements
• Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
• Knowledge of Xero a plus

• An interest in the tech community
• Proactive and adaptable - happy working in an ever changing environment
• Self driven - capable of working without close management
• Excellent IT skills
