shaping the stars of tomorrow
Self confidence is a state of mind
Self confidence begins with positive thought processes
If we are thinking positively then we will have positive feelings and these feelings will then become obvious to others through our voice and body language
Practice turning your negative thoughts into positive ones
Your inner voice is very powerful so you must take control of it or it will take control of you
Negativity destroys self confidence. Don’t let it happen!
Each time you have a negative thought, quickly kick it into touch and replace it with a positive one
Turn your “negative affirmation” into “positive affirmation” and you will look, sound and feel much more confident
When we look at someone who is very confident, we immediately assume that they are totally in control. This is not always true - they are often “feeling” unsure but they are very good at “appearing” to be totally in control
You too can come across as a self confident individual – if you believe in yourself enough!
Stand tall, your shoulders relaxed and down and your chin level with the floor
Breathe easily and deeply and take your time when speaking. Don’t rush!
Keep your physical gestures controlled – don’t fidget!
Use relaxed, direct eye contact
Keep your mind clear – focus on your communication, not your nervous tension
A strong, confident, well projected, clear voice
A well balanced body with strong confident gestures, good eye contact and excellent posture
A positive attitude with clear, relaxed thought processes
A high level of self belief
Effective assertiveness techniques
Skills for building a great rapport with others
First class interview skills
