Website Developer - 6 weeks - £7.50 per hour.

About the Company 

EPHD is a not for profit trade association for Edinburgh Private Hire Drivers.

As a new trade representative group we are currently in a phase of growing our membership, to manage and support our new members enquiries, registrations and subscriptions it has been decided the best method would be development of a website.  The desire is to make the website the go-to source for information and communication for the Edinburgh trade.

About the role

Reporting the Chairman, your role will be to initially create a basic website which is required immediately, a simple landing page with an email address capture is all that is required to start with.

Thereafter, functionality of the website will be to register new members, complete subscription payments, report to a database, require a unique and identifiable login, provide an online blog, noticeboards, downloads, advertising opportunities and a content control panel. 

About you

The role is part-time and can be home-based, and will suit a 4th year student seeking practical, part-time work experience during his/her studies. The project will start is looking for an immediate start.  The site build should take no more than 6 weeks to complete.



You will be a 4th year student, able to work diligently towards an absolute deadline, provide accurate coding and regular progress reports.

You will have a comprehensive understanding of the following features: -

  • Application design and development
  • Stripe payment integrations for subscriptions
  • Data capture
  • User account management
  • CSV export


  • Knowledge of IT infrastructures and back office software solutions
  • Social media marketing skills
