About the role

This is a highly interesting role for candidates interested in leading-edge web application development. The primary outline of this role is being responsible for implementing front-end web applications and behaviour of visual elements for cyber-security browser applications, mainly around javascript components, CSS3, GWT and svg.

Primary day-to-day operations include implementing, maintaining and enhancing multi-tier product vendor web application framework client components. There may be some server-side maintenance tasks as well for the candidate with the right skills. There is also a wide scope for the right candidate to escalate to more advanced programming and architectural work around product development. Also some work with maintaining the corporate web site, content, layout and CSS.

Candidate requirements

Essential:

  • Javascript, CSS3, SVG, GWT, jsmin, jquery
  • Knowledge of web servers, servlet 3 architectures and javascript client delivery essential
  • Creative thinker - excellent visualization skills, particularly interested in modern web layouts, theming, look&feel, software ergonomics
  • Self-starter - motivated and hungry for working with and learning new and existing technologies, methodologies and techniques is absolutely essential.
  • Good communication skills and working well with small, highly focused teams

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Vaadin 7 desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of Java 8/9 desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of security procedures desirable but not essential
