VR Developer – 12 Months - Full Time over Summer then moving to part time – Aberdeen


About the company


First Competence has been established to provide effective and efficient interdependent lifting products and services to the oil and gas industry.

We can provide one element, such as a lifting operations review or multiple elements and components, for example a lifting procedure review, update, implementation process, training, interim competent personnel, VR training, E-Learning and safety awareness handbooks, etc. 


About the role


We are looking for VR Developer to help us create VR training scenarios. These training scenarios are about lifting safety.  The role will be full time over Summer and then move to part time when studies resume.


You will be working with our graphic designer to create these scenarios. Using Unity and C#. With a good understanding of 3D modelling.


Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Development of proprietary VR platform using Unity / Blender
  • 3-D asset development
  • Input to architecture and design
  • Integration of assets into platform
  • Working graphic designers
  • Development of AR solutions


About you


In order to be considered you will have the following skills:



  • Unity
  • Blender (or similar)
  • C#, Java or similar
  • Games architecture and design
  • 3D asset modelling



  • Web development
  • Photogrammetry
