eoSurgical are an innovative start-up driven by a desire to improve surgical skills training globally. We produce simulators that allow surgeons to practise and improve their operative technique. This involves compact and portable 'take-home' simulation hardware, image analysis and gesture-interface performance assessment software, and an online curriculum and e-portfolio (www.eoSurgical.com). We sell to both training institutions and individuals around the world. Our products are currently being used in 56 countries globally.

About the role

You will have the opportunity to work on an exciting product in a fast growing start-up. This includes working in an Agile environment where you will be treated as a contributing member from the start.

The main responsibilities include: 

• Researching and developing an iOS version of our existing “SurgTrac” software
• Working under the guidance of the lead Software Engineer
• Collaborate with the whole team during meetings
• Share and propose ideas and knowledge about how to improve the company’s products

Candidate requirements

Essential

• Experience with the iOS development environment
• Experience with C++
• Experience with RESTful services
• Experience using NodeJS
• Experience using Javascript/HTML5/CSS3
• Experience with relational databases (preferable MySql and SQLite3)
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated to seek solutions to problems and to learn new skills
• Good organisational skills

Desirable

• Knowledge about using Javascript frameworks, preferable AngularJS
• Knowledge about app design and user experience
• Knowledge using Karma and Jasmine
• Knowledge using Linux, Windows and MacOS

Start date

The candidate can ideally be able to start working mid-end May.
