PHP Developer, 3 months (initial contract), Edinburgh
Job brief
We are looking for a junior PHP developer who is dedicated to their craft, enthusiastic and a good communicator. We need you to write clean PHP and work closely with our senior dev team to produce clean, scaleable code.
You will be a part of a creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing digital development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.
Responsibilities
- Team player, must want to involved in all areas of development cycle
- Assist development team on various tasks
- Write clean code based on briefs from senior developers
- Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Follow industry best practices
Requirements
- Experience in PHP
- Understanding of open source projects in particular Drupal, Wordpress, Shopify, etc
- Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX etc
- Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new ideas
Desirable: Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Ebay etc)
