Sales and Marketing Executive – Summer Internship - Glasgow 

 

COMPANY BACKGROUND

Klik2learn is a Glasgow-based award -winning Edtech company specialising in software for English language learning.

The company has built up a highly skilled team of young developers and designers who are experienced in creating appealing content for today’s digital natives including games and simulations. We are based at Clockwise in central Glasgow and hybrid working can be arranged by mutual consent.

The Klik2learn has established a market niche in the global ELT industry is as a provider of digital first, interactive, multimedia learning which enables learners to achieve a valuable accredited qualification from City & Guilds. The company’s proprietary learning Management System: the Digital Learning Hub hosts the core products, 100s of hours of e learning from pre-beginner to upper intermediate and a suite of collaboration tools. It has been endorsed by the SQA, City & Guilds and the CPD Certification Service. The core products are supported by a multi-level test –‘The English Skills Test.’ In response to market demand, the company is now launching a new program to support the mandatory Occupational English Test, aimed at supporting non –native healthcare professionals to gain employment in the NHS.

The company sells mainly B2B to colleges, councils and overseas through a network of distributors and specialises in supporting migrant populations entering the UK. We are now entering the Indian K-12 market at state government level and the Hong Kong BTEC market supporting Pearson qualifications.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Sales and Marketing Intern you will gain experience for implementing sales and marketing plans to drive sales under the supervision of our experienced Head of Marketing and Commercial Director. As required, you could be involved in any of the following tasks:

1. Sales Support

The purpose of sales support is to find, attract and nurture prospects so that sales have more time to build relationships with qualified leads and close deals.

Researching the target audience and identifying decision makers within prospect organisations to help develop the sales pipeline.

Building prospect lists in the UK and overseas in each of the four target customer segments.

Helping maintain the Hubspot CRM and nurturing leads with targeted email marketing campaigns, sales emails and content.

Responding to prospects visiting the website using the website chat feature and responding to enquiries from social media.

Ensuring that all inbound enquiries are logged and managed in the Hubspot CRM and updating sales on activities so that demos can be booked in the calendar.

Maintaining the sales email templates for different stages of the buyer cycle.

Supporting sales with targeted marketing and lead generation activities.

2. Sales & Marketing Content

The purpose of sales and marketing content is to give potential buyers the information they need at different stages of the buying cycle.

Helping to develop sales and marketing collateral such as case studies, product sheets, presentations and presentations using Canva and Google Slides

Helping to record/create sales webinars for demo purposes.

Helping to develop and manage the monthly content plan for the creation of website news, blogs and press releases.

Creating the monthly product update blog detailing new features, updates and changes to the courses.

Creating blogs on company events and news.

Supporting the creation of monthly email newsletters to the prospects in the CRM and measuring the performance of each newsletter.

Segmenting the customer database and creating new content based on contact personas, e.g. Head of Innovation, Head of Curriculum, Head of Adult Learning.

3. Marketing Support (Awareness, Interest, Desire and Action)

The purpose of marketing activities is to raise awareness of the company brand and interest in benefits so that prospects desire more information and ask for a sales demonstration.

Creating the social media calendar based on seasonal, education and company events.

Managing the calendar, creating content and publishing on social media channels to increase brand awareness.

Ensuring all key events, products, calls to action are published on time.

Ensuring brand consistency across social media channels, checking consistency across all social network profiles (bios, images, branding, CTAs, contact details)

Helping to maintain brand assets images, photos, videos, gifs, animation, cover images etc. as and when required

Ensuring that the prospects researched for sales are targeted with relevant social media content.

Klik2learn has a particular need for an enthusiastic and skilled content marketer and for people with a strong interest in customer success. There are currently exciting opportunities for developing brand reputation in overseas markets.

Pipeline products in development include:

  • A game to improve spoken English skills
  • A series of simulations for the medical profession
  • A course on employability skills
  • An app to analyse pronunciation skills
  • A data analytics project

A permanent position, full or part time is an option for the right candidate after the summer period.
