Junior Software Engineer, 12 months, Dundee, September 2017
Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience
Duration: Fixed Term appointment for 1 year, with possible extension thereafter

Planning, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, support and system/help documentation relating to a website and smartphone app that help people with Diabetes to manage their own condition.
The post encompasses all aspects of web application and database design including client and server-side scripting, .Net, T-SQL, web services and open source technologies. Knowledge and experience with SQL Server databases advantageous.
The post is based at our office in Dundee.
Skills and Experience
- Working towards a degree in computing or relevant discipline, with evidence of good grades
- 6+ months’ experience, including several of the following:
- HTML 5
- CSS 3 and bootstrap
- Responsive web design
- ASP.Net using C#
- REST API
- Web Services
- OAuth authentication
- PHP 5 or greater
- Apache Subversion
- Development and maintenance of SQL Server databases
- Positive outlook
- Pride in your work
- Keen to make a difference
- Ownership of tasks
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent inter-personal skills
