IT Support/Administrator – Full Time – Glasgow – up to 12 Months

About the company


eContactServices are the preferred Lead Generation company for Vendors to the Telco industry.  We have been in operation for over 20 years and consider companies like Amdocs, IBM, Dell and Salesforce as our clients.


eCS are IT savvy and utilise technology to our advantage to better the results we generate for clients.  In recent years we have been developing in-house systems to help with campaign, client and data management and now require someone to work with us to help us move to the next level.


About the role


The main purpose of this role is to manage the technical operational side of eCS, which includes having lead responsibility for all IT related processes and technology. Specifically, the role extends to all IT systems, programmes, software, hardware and support. It is essential that this role is performed to a consistently high standard which contributes to the overall effectiveness of the day-to-day running of eCS.


Key accountabilities:


  • Full responsibility for all IT related processes and technology
  • Assist with data ETL operations
  • Manage all IT changes and enhancements with management
  • Responsible for CRM management (Pipedrive)
  • Assisting HR/employee onboarding workflows within Zoho People
  • Assisting digital marketing workflows – LinkedIn & Twitter
  • Training staff on how to use updated systems
  • Manging and supporting the day-to-day usage of IT systems
  • Conduct system user testing and analyse results
  • Overseeing system testing to diagnose problems
  • Working with software developer to improve existing systems
  • Documenting and recording technical processes


Job Dimensions:


The role will encompass working with all areas of the business, including the Managing Director, Head of Operations and the wider operational team. There will also be some level of engagement with external providers.




Working directly with the Managing Director and Head of Operations, this role will be responsible for building the overall IT capability and capacity within eCS. More than ever, the company relies on its quality and reliability of its IT infrastructure, systems and processes and this role is critical in providing a wide-ranging management service, which meets the needs of the company, every day it trades.

  • Play a key role in the early intervention of IT related problems which minimises disruption on company performance
  • Develop and implement system improvements which contribute towards business efficiency


About you


Technical (Essential)

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Understanding of CRM systems, including Pipedrive
  • Moderate knowledge of Php
  • Moderate knowledge of Python
  • Advanced level of SQL – Mysql knowledge
  • Moderate understanding of Javascript
  • Documentation and troubleshooting skills


Non-Technical (Essential)

  • Logical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hard-working and self-starter
  • Commitment to continual professional development (IT focused)
  • Multi-tasking skills


Technical (Desirable)

  • CRM administration and configuration experience
  • Knowledge of scraping tools
  • Social media knowledge - Twitter and LinkedIn
