About the role
We have now opened recruitment for our 2018 summer placements and invite talented and ambitious I.T students to apply. These paid placements are based in our Glasgow headquarters and are scheduled to run between 1st June – 31st August 2018.
Successful candidates will work on various projects related to our core products, and will receive mentoring from our development gurus. This will provide priceless experience of the entire software life-cycle while working within a team that has delivered world-leading software. Furthermore, many of our placements result in a firm offer of full-time, permanent employment following graduation.
- We have no expectations that candidates will be experienced developers, but we do need strong candidates, studying for a computer science (or similar) degree and with some knowledge of Java.
- We want candidates with a genuine interest in IT who are excited by the prospect of developing world-class software.
- Ideally candidates will have some knowledge of a selection of the tools & technologies listed below:
- CVS and Git
Although not essential, we would also be interested in speaking with students who have experience and/or an interest in:
- Apache Spark
