ABOUT THE POSITION

SwarmOnline provide web and mobile app development and consultancy services to a broad range of industries and clients, many of which are household names. We’re looking to expand our team in Edinburgh with a sharp, talented and technical individual as part of an Industrial Placement.

Role responsibility and Skills Required

We are looking for someone to learn from and grow with our team as part of a 48 week Industrial Placement Internship.

You don’t need a lot of experience for this role, but as a minimum you’re going to need to be able to demonstrate that you possess good computing and basic programming skills and a passion for software development and technology is an absolute must.

You should be enrolled on a Computer Science (or related subject) degree programme.

Eventually you’ll be working with a range of technologies with our support, but extra brownie points might be awarded if you’ve developed using any of the following:

  • HTML5/CSS3/SASS
  • JavaScript (including frameworks React, NodeJS)
  • Hybrid app containers, such as Cordova/PhoneGap
  • Node.js, .NET, PHP
  • Relational Databases
  • Cloud Technologies (Such as AWS)
  • Agile development methodologies
Qualifications Required
  • You should be enrolled on a Computer Science (or related subject) degree programme.
