Ocutec is an innovative ISO 9001, EN 13485 accredited boutique materials design and development house.
We are currently undergoing a drive to commercialise our pipeline of innovative contact lens products within the international market. We are thus looking for an ambitious, proactive Marketing & Business Development Graduate to support our Senior Business Development team on the implementation of a number of research initiatives.
The successful Candidate must be willing to interface with high level clients (Presidents, CEOs) as well as Top Management internally (Board of Directors).
Ocutec’s overall strategy is to develop new and innovative materials for use in contact lenses offering ‘gold standard’ in terms of on-eye comfort and ocular health. These materials will then be licenced to selected manufacturing partners and selected sales & distribution partners for selected market segments.
Ocutec has now commenced engagement with potential manufacturing and distribution partners, and is actively growing this initiative to cover both geographical and solutions based options. There are opportunities to capture and translate this valuable partner feedback with a view to product positioning and proposition development. Further, this field feedback can be captured and converted into technical improvements and product enhancement.
The key objective of this placement will be communication with the market to engage with industry specialists to gather, collate and interpret feedback with a view to making key strategic decisions with regards to product positioning and proposition development.
This role would be office based and would involve liaising with the Business Development team and engaging with partners on a number of research initiatives. This would involve industry specific market research, particularly involving the implementation and evaluation of bespoke initiatives.
Feedback and follow up from Client interfacing . This will involve evaluation and assessment of the client responses, capturing this data in a structured manner for future actions. A need for close interaction with Top Management and the Senior Business Development team is essential to ensure the data is fully researched and correctly implemented. It is envisaged that this would involve co-ordination of regular follow up meetings to manage the sales activity funnel.
Planning and management of a Small Scale contact lens Study – this would be based upon involvement with Optometrists and industry bodies. Requirements would be evaluated including inputs to Research Ethics requirements and research application systems.
Collation and deep dive research into the feedback from the Small Scale study, with recommendations for future strategies to ensure the right product for the right market. Follow through on the implementation of these strategies and their effectiveness to ensure they match market needs.
A degree in Marketing or similar
