Business Analyst/Web Developer Intern – 3 Months – Part -Time – Glasgow

About the Company

Klik2learn has developed of a range of innovative educational and vocational technology products, with a focus on English language learning. Our software includes an LMS to track progress. Our end users are highly motivated to learn in order to improve their career and employment prospects and our software is endorsed and certified by SQA, City & Guilds and the SQA.

The company has a core team of creative designers, animators, developers and education specialists and is currently looking to expand the team.

Our channel partners include City & Guilds, the Collab group and Tata Consultancy Services both in India and the UK.

We are currently working on an exciting new mobile product, currently being tested in beta version. ‘Journey 2 Basic Skills’ is designed to fill a gap in the adult learning market for people who experience barriers in the workplace due to a lack of literacy and numeracy. While this is primarily aimed at non -native speakers, it also addresses the adult literacy market both in the UK and overseas.

All of our customers have a requirement to understand and show evidence of effective engagement and achievement by end users using our platform.

About the Role

Our customer base, which includes education providers and corporates is keen to have access to a reporting system which meets their needs. Our LMS currently tracks progress and provides data on usage but we are planning to extend this to include more detailed and granular data on user achievement and to present it in a simple graphical form.

We are looking for a business analyst with an IT background who would scope out the reporting needs of current and potentially future clients and design a module that would provide the necessary functionality in a manner that is easily accessible, simple and quick for clients to interpret.

The role would involve customer facing interaction and data collection in a suitable format and would require a commitment of c. 15 hours per week on a flexible basis.

About you

Essential:

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
• Understanding of digital reporting systems
• Understanding of methods of graphical representation of data
• Interest in data analysis  
• Interest in the application of data analysis to marketing strategies.

Desirable:

• Experience of web development platforms
• Knowledge of Meteor, ReactJs or javascript

Additional Information

The candidate would work alongside the CFO and CTO as well as the development team to integrate the proposed solution with the company’s existing products.
