This is a 12 month placement for a student in their penultimate year studying a Business Intelligence related discipline. You will work as an Assistant Business Intelligence Analyst in the eHealth department of one of the largest and most diversely populated Health Boards in the UK, NHS Highland.
We are looking for a student to start in the summer who is enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and learning new skills within a public sector setting. You will be expected to undertake testing and validation of data from within, as well as extracts and reports from, NHS Highland’s data warehouse and will be interrogating data using SQL code. You will also assist in the development of dashboards and reports and will be responsible for running routines and extractions for national data returns.
The projects/tasks will be varied and you will be given a mentor from the wider department allowing you to gain a broad understanding of the eHealth function.
This position is located in Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. Inverness is the most northerly city in Scotland with a population of around 60,000 and is a vibrant and cultural place to live. Additionally there are many sports and social opportunities and a thriving night life in Inverness.
In terms of education, The University of the Highlands and Islands has its main campus and headquarters here and is therefore a key centre for learning.
