i-confidential are looking for business analysts to help support current projects within a well-known financial institution. The role will be to work within relevant support teams carrying out a variety of tasks to allow the team to deliver to tight deadlines and maintain the security of the bank.

The roles are covering

Data Leakage Prevention – dealing with data loss prevention activity with focus on avoidance of inadvertent or malicious leakage of sensitive data.

User Access Management – manage business processes to ensure individuals have approved access to the correct systems and revoking those who should no longer have that access. Operate the on-boarding of applications to an Access Recertification tool.

Application Security – dealing with methods of protecting applications from a variety of external threats and manage the process of waiver and exception approval.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Engage with business areas to drive agenda of team and ensure adherence to bank policy.
  • Act as the first line of contact to the Business team for project requirements and any queries they have about possible impact on their supported application/systems.
  • Collaborate across application development and technology teams within IT to ensure that business requirements are fully understood
  • Pro-actively communicate and collaborate with business teams to ensure their supported applications deliver each project requirement enabling them to complete the full Access project life cycle
  • A key member of the project team, the BA works with the project manager, business analysts, and application support teams to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget

Competencies and Skills:

  • Must be able to follow processes and apply rules to ensure compliance to those processes.
  • Must be able to demonstrate core BA skills including strong data analysis skills including excel
  • Knowledge and experience of working with finance, banking and/or risk management environments would be preferred.
  • Some understanding of information security/risk management would be preferred.
