Tech Support, Edinburgh, Full Time

Please note this is a full time role starting as soon as possible.

Who We Are

Administrate builds an online platform that helps training providers save time and money. Our mission to make our customer’s training operations and training courses run better for less money.

We are a quickly growing, young, energetic company, with an established global customer base, a solid core team, and a clear vision.

About You

You're passionate about what you do. Always searching for a challenge, always looking to improve.

You love to learn and you love to explain.  You have always been interested in computers.  From an early age you were playing on them, tinkering with them, maybe even programming them.

You’re a great communicator, and find creative ways to get your point across. At work you adhere to high standards, take input, provide input, and wrestle with problems until they're solved cleanly.  You enjoy working on a very creative team, and you know how to give and take, because teams are not just one person.

You hate wasting time, wasting effort, and you value efficient execution in life and with technology.

You're striving for perfection, but grounded in reality, getting the job done comes first, but it's never something to hide behind, because you don't do 'ok'. If something sucks you say why, and how to sort it, it doesn't matter who's being stupid. You're honest to a fault.

You love to work with smart, creative people and hate mediocrity. Small teams, dynamic organisations, and flexible working environments are what you thrive in. Bureaucracy is for someone else who likes wasting time and effort.

What You'll Do

You’ll join our operations team as a key member of our initiatives to provide unrivalled tech support to our users.

You’ll work in a fast paced environment.  You’ll juggle multiple priorities.  You’ll constantly react to new ways of working.  You’ll assist new customers to deploy our software.  You’ll uncover bugs and take ownership for their resolution.  You’ll listen to our customers and triage their recommendations for improvement.  You’ll seek every opportunity to improve our customers business.

You’ll be required to quickly develop a deep understanding of our product, our market, our customers, and the challenges we have with our product.

What You’ll Need

  • Excellent personal discipline.
  • Strong IT skills ideally with knowledge of MySQL.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • A passion to create great products.
  • A passion for helping customers succeed.
  • A desire to learn quickly and deeply about a wide range of issues.
  • An appreciation for and understanding of high quality work.
  • A very strong work ethic, with a track record for getting things done in a high pressure, time sensitive environment.
