Key Tasks
Working from the Application Design documents, the primary task is to complete the build of the FlexTime application. This is written in JavaScript using the AngularJS framework. It uses HTML5, CSS3 and other libraries such as Bootstrap to create a responsive user interface. All database interactions are achieved through REST web services, already built in a Java web application running on Glassfish 4. Using these REST services the application reads information from the Oracle E-Business Suite and a MySQL database, and writes to the MySQL database.
The main development tool is Eclipse, with the source code stored in Subversion.
The focus is on completing the application to time, but there will be opportunities to refactor and improve what has already been built, although timescales will limit this.
